vPROTECT - Spam Service
Today email communication is as important as ever. Historically there have been many attempts to move away from email to other forms of communication, and while some instant messaging services have added to the usability of email, none have come close to replacing it.
As the internet has evolved so have spammers and SPAM emails. Initially starting out as sending unsolicited emails to sell products or services, these quickly evolved into phishing emails to lure recipients into disclosing personal information or clicking on links that compromise security.
SPAM emails today are still the number one source of security compromises for businesses. Reducing the number of SPAM emails is intrinsically linked to improved security and lowers a business' chance of compromise.
Challenges Of Information Silos
Desktop email is not linked to server side SPAM protection, so when an email comes in to a desktop mailbox, you are relying on the email client to identify the SPAM, and that's a big part of the problem.
As there is no connection to your mail server to share the SPAM information, the action taken on an individual's desktop simply dies at the desktop level. Any action taken is not shared upstream, meaning the SPAM is never reported and creates a data silo.
Furthermore, because SPAM has already entered your computer, the risk of a trojan, virus or other security threat has already penetrated the 1st line of defence – it is already on your computer!
It's like leaving the door unlocked and open for anyone to come inside.
What makes vPROTECT so special?
"Many Hands Make Light Work" - Something that has always been true and today this is known as 'crowd sourcing', using the power of many working together to improve on what a single person can achieve.
vPROTECT is based on this principle, using the power of crowd sourcing to help the vPROTECT SPAM engine learn from everyone's interactions with SPAM email.
How does it do this?
When a SPAM email arrives into vPROTECT it's ranked by score. Based on this score the email is either delayed in quarantine for further review or marked as SPAM in the email header and subject field, then passed onto the user's mailbox for easier identification by the email client and user.
Every 12 hours a vPROTECT summary email is sent that lists the blocked emails in quarantine allowing the recipient to take affirmative action by simply clicking on a link to 'Whitelist, Blacklist, Deliver or Delete' the email.
Additionally if more information is required, the recipient, via a single click, can view the quarantined email in the vPROTECT user portal. This built in function allows more information to be viewed about the email to help make an informed decision on what action should be taken.
These simple and effective tools empower every user to manage their emails and train vPROTECT for the benefit of all vPROTECT users.
Currently the vPROTECT service has been working since April 2024, learning and evolving. Our internal team and a small number of select clients have been using the platform as part of our Proof Of Concept, POC, before officially launching the service.
The POC will run for a further 2 months, completing at the end of February 2025, allowing us to fine tune and gather feedback from users on how we can better the service.

DIY for technical business owners & IT admins
Businesses will have the option to DIY the setup if so desired meaning we provide all the necessary technical details required to redirect emails to vPROTECT. Inversely clients will need to provide us with additional technical details about their existing mail service for our team to complete the last steps of the setup.
This type of scenario is ideal for IT administrators who have a good understanding of how mail-flow works, are familiar with editing/creating DNS records and are able to apply and supply the requested technical details required for our team to implement into vPROTECT for your domain.
As part of the DIY approach businesses can start using vPROTECT with the base level protection in place and slowly over time train the platform just by performing the basic action steps in the twice daily reports.
Additionally Admins can create a list of safe domains and email senders to provide to our engineers to import into vPROTECT so existing suppliers and contacts are already whitelisted thereby saving some training time for improved mail-flow.
vPROTECT Pricing
vPROTECT is extremely well priced at $150 ex GST per domain yearly
The majority of other service providers charge on a per mailbox scenario quickly adding up to much higher costs in comparison.

Consulting and implementation costs to meet your business' specific needs will be charged at $300 ex GST as a one off setup fee.
Our team will work with you to:
